Session 4 - Intermediate Tableware - Tuesday Nights 6-8:30pm

In this class is for students that are comfortable centering 2 or more pounds of clay. In this class students will learn all the techniques needed to create a set of dishes to adorn your dining table.  Students will work with the instructor to center larger amounts of clay, work toward intentional shaping and creating matching sets.  This class will cover: Bowls, plates, mugs, platters, serving bowls, pitchers, tumblers and more.  Students will also learn about how to choose a clay body and surface treatments to ensure all work is food safe and durable, so students can enjoy their dinnerware for years to come.

The first class will meet on Tuesday, June 11th and the last class will meet on Tuesday, July 16.

This class includes:

  • 25 LBS of clay and the ability to purchase more

  • Firing of your pottery in our electric kilns

  • Glazes and decorating materials

  • Use of studio tools and equipment

  • A storage space to keep your work, personal tools and clay on

  • Access to Open Studio Hours Saturday and Sunday 12pm-4pm

  • Students will also be given our “artist phone number” to call in and see if they are able to get extra studio time outside of open studio hours.

  • 6 In-person class sessions that will meet weekly on the day and time of your class. Our classes are kept small to allow students to have more one on one time and step by step instruction from our teachers.
